 How does the student schedule work?

The student schedule changes from one week to the other and depends on the classes' periods, practicals and project sessions, but also depends on the weeks at Basel (Switzerland) and Freiburg (Germany). On the other hand, classes always take place from Monday morning to Friday afternoon.

 

 Since courses are held in three different places, how does it work for the accomodation part?

Regarding your accomodation here in Strasbourg, you'll have to find it on your own. However, accomodation in Basel and Freiburg are held by our partner Universities whereas the ESBS organizes and pays for the transportation to these cities.

 How do I pay the CVEC (Contribution vie étudiante et de campus [Student and Campus Life Contribution]) ?

 Once I've been accepted, how do I register?

Once your application has been confirmed on Ecandidat, you have to pay the CVEC (or get proof of exemption). Then enrol online
Make the online payment (payable in 3 instalments) and upload the required supporting documents.
You can get your student card from the Registrar's Office in Bureau D 424 in the “Pole API” (from the beginning of September).

 What language level is required to apply?

The desired language level in English is B1 (Intermediate level, as most courses are in English). As for German, the candidate can integrate the training even without prior knowledge. However, upon graduation, A2 certification is required (Elementary level) for beginners and B1 minimum for others. Intensive language courses will take place during the first and second year of the engineering cycle.

 What is the percentage of classes delivered in English?

From 90 to 95 of classes are taught in English!

 How are the internship weeks organized in France and abroad?

There are 14 weeks of internship mandatory and 8 weeks minimum in 1st year. You can also do an optional internship and students usually go for an academic internship for this one. Regarding the third-year in the Engineering Diploma, students chose to do their six-months internship abroad (but it is not mandatory). Overall, engineering students have to complete 17 weeks of presence abroad.

 How do I get my diploma?

Diplomas are issued several months after they are obtained (around 4 to 6 months).

The holder must present proof of identity.

A third party can withdraw the diploma for you. The person collecting the diploma must bring a written proof (stating the diploma and the year it was obtained), a photocopy of the diploma holder's ID and their own ID. These documents will be requested at the time of withdrawal.

 What do I do if I'm absent from an exam?

In case of absence from a test or examination, you must, within a strict period of 7 days, submit or send by email, an original proof (medical certificate for example) to the school service.
