How does the student schedule work?
Since courses are held in three different places, how does it work for the accomodation part?
How do I pay the CVEC (Contribution vie étudiante et de campus [Student and Campus Life Contribution]) ?
Every undergraduate has to prove that they have paid, or are exempt from paying, the CVEC (Contribution vie étudiante et de campus [Student and Campus Life Contribution]) before registering with their school or university.
To pay, or get proof of exemption, go to MesServices.Etudiant.gouv.fr.
Once I've been accepted, how do I register?
Once your application has been confirmed on Ecandidat, you have to pay the CVEC (or get proof of exemption). Then enrol online.
Make the online payment (payable in 3 instalments) and upload the required supporting documents.
You can get your student card from the Registrar's Office in Bureau D 424 in the “Pole API” (from the beginning of September).
What language level is required to apply?
As the majority of courses are taught in English, students entering the Engineering Program are strongly recommended to have a B1 level in English. This will enable them to follow lectures and academic activities under the best possible conditions. No prior knowledge of German is required to join the program. Students may enter as complete beginners, as German language training is provided throughout the three years of the Engineering Program.
To graduate, students who began German as complete beginners will be required to achieve A2 level certification in German (CLES). Students with prior knowledge of German will be expected to demonstrate a minimum B1 level. In English, all students are required to take the LTE and achieve a minimum B2 level by the end of the diploma.
In addition, intensive language courses are organised during the first year of the Engineering Program to support students in developing the language skills required throughout their studies.
How are the internship weeks organized in France and abroad?
There are 14 weeks of internship mandatory and 8 weeks minimum in 1st year. You can also do an optional internship and students usually go for an academic internship for this one. Regarding the third-year in the Engineering Diploma, students chose to do their six-months internship abroad (but it is not mandatory). Overall, engineering students have to complete 17 weeks of presence abroad.
How do I get my diploma?
Diplomas are issued several months after they are obtained (around 4 to 6 months).
The holder must present proof of identity.
A third party can withdraw the diploma for you. The person collecting the diploma must bring a written proof (stating the diploma and the year it was obtained), a photocopy of the diploma holder's ID and their own ID. These documents will be requested at the time of withdrawal.
What do I do if I'm absent from an exam?
In case of absence from a test or examination, you must, within a strict period of 7 days, submit or send by email, an original proof (medical certificate for example) to the school service.
