 How to apply

Engineering Degree in Biotechnology

  • Admission to the 1st year of the course (with BUT, BTS, L2, L3 or equivalent qualification): Applications open in spring and must be submitted through the Ecandidat portal
  • Admission through Polytech competitive exams (Prepas PC, BCPST and TB)

Attention: Students applying through Polytech entrance exam do not use the Ecandidat portal

Language prerequisites

Given that the majority of courses are taught in English, it is better (but not mandatory) to have a B1 level in English at the beginning of the 1st year in order to take lessons more easily. As for German, you can join the degree with a beginner-level considering that you'll learn this language during your three years of training. At the end of the degree and in order for you to validate your diploma, you'll have to take a language certification in German (A2 level for beginners and minimum B1 level for the others). The same goes for English since students will have to take a language certification and validate a B2 level minimum. Multiple courses in both English and German will be given during the first year of training, and languages classes will take place throughout the three years.

A sworn statement of your language skills is required to complete your application file. Please note that this document is in no way used during the candidates selection, but is requested so the teaching team can prepare fluency level groups.
