ESBS courses run in close partnership with the École européenne d'ingénieurs de chimie, polymères et matériaux de Strasbourg (ECPM), especially for the Chemistry Biotechnology Engineering Diploma ; the Universitiy of Basel in Switzerland and Freiburg in Germany. The Biopharmaceuticals: Design and Production course is delivered in partnership with Strasbourg’s Faculty of Pharmacy.
ESBS hosts Joint Research Unit UMR 7242, “Biotechnology and Cell Signalling” which constitutes the core of our research activity. This CNRS unit is made up of team members from two ITIs: IMS (Institut du Médicament de Strasbourg [Strasbourg Institute of Medicine]) and Innovec (Vectorisation innovante de Biomolécules [Innovative Vectorisation of Biomolecules]). ESBS also has ties to Transplantex NG (the Institut de Médecine de Précision de Strasbourg [Strasbourg Institute of Precision Medicine]) and a long-standing partnership with IGBMC (Institut de génétique et de biologie moléculaire et cellulaire [Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology]).
The Innovation Park is a showcase of the region’s technological expertise and provides an exceptional setting for the University campus with over 100 scientific research and development establishments sharing an increasingly vibrant and significant location.

ESBS belongs to the association of 14 Graduate Schools in Alsace that specialise in engineering, architecture, art, design and management. This network brings together the various disciplines to foster joint teaching projects for as many as 10,824 students who circulate in the echelons of these prestigious schools.
At ESBS, we believe in our students’ potential for innovation and encourage them to take the initiative in business creation. Etena and the ESBS Biotech Lab support our entrepreneurs as they take their first steps in setting up their venture.
