How do I pay the Student Campus Life Contribution (Contribution Vie Étudiante et de Campus aka. CVEC)?
Every student in full-time education attached to a high learning system (Établissement d'Enseignement Supérieur) is obliged to provide the Student Campus Life Contribution document before enrolling in a school/faculty. You can get this document by paying the requested amount or you can get exonerated under certain prerequisite https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/envole/.

How do I enrol at the ESBS?
Once your application is confirmed on the Ecandidat platform, you'll have to get the Student Campus Life Contribution (CVEC). Then, you can proceed to your enrollment online. You make the paiement online (you can pay in three interest-free installments) and submit the paperwork requested. When your student card will be ready, you can pick it up at the office D 424, Pôle API (from early September).
What is the language level required to apply?
As the great majority of classes are in English, it is better if you have a B1 level in English. Regarding the German language, we do not require any specific level to apply. In fact, you'll learn the German language during the engineering course. At the end of your training and after attending German courses over the three years, you'll have to take a mandatory certification in German (CLES > A2 level) and also in English (TOIC > B2 level).
What do I do if I'm absent from an exam?
In case of absence from a test or examination, you must, within a strict period of 7 days, submit or send by email, an original proof (medical certificate for example) to the registar's office of the school (D 424).
What kind of attributes and skills do we need to apply for the Engineering in Biotechnology Diploma?
First of all, the Biotechnology Engineer has to be able to answer, solve a very complex problem and provide tangible solutions. Thereby, he/she has technical knowledge in the biotech' field, but also in economics, social and human sciences. Most importantly, he/she is oriented towards discovery and innovation!
Being versatile, curious, agile and knowing how to adapt are other skills we look for in a Biotech' engineer.
How do I get my diploma?
Diplomas are issued several months after they are obtained (around 4 to 6 months).
The holder must present proof of identity.
A third party can withdraw the diploma for you. The person collecting the diploma must bring a written proof (stating the diploma and the year it was obtained), a photocopy of the diploma holder's ID and their own ID. These documents will be requested at the time of withdrawal.
