Description
Objectives in terms of knowledge (course content) :
The bioethical thinking is often difficult to assert, but the idea of an ethics for engineers is even more recent. The engineering profession in biotechnology or chemistry-biotechnology mixes two levels of thinking, the professional ethics of engineers and bioethics. Based on current topics, legislative documents on biotechnology, documents on engineering ethics and topics proposed by students, the course will develop a reflection on the professional ethics of engineers, and the impact of biotechnology on society.
At the end of this course, students must be able to develop a critical questioning about their own role in the technologic world and the life scientific knowledge.
