Objectives in terms of knowledge (course content):

The objective of this course is the understanding of metabolic pathways, their role in cell signaling and applications in the Metabolic Engineering.
They are studied the metabolic pathways (glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, tricarboxylic acid cycle, oxidative phosphorylation and fatty acids), their interconnections and regulation
Based on the knowledge already acquired, and on innovative technological aspects, this course aims to provide the necessary tools to conduct a project in the field of biotechnology

Objectives in terms of skills:

Acquisition of basic scientific knowledge and intellectual and conceptual tools
Enable everyone to reach the capacity to handle a project in the field of biotechnology, from the original idea to its realization.
