As an Engineering School at the University of Strasbourg, in partnership with the Universities of Basel and Freiburg, ESBS clearly proclaims its attachment to Europe.

Accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur, ESBS is a member of Alsace-Tech, an Association of Engineering Schools in Alsace.

Ideally situated in the heart of the Upper Rhine BioValley, ESBS teaches courses in German, English and French at the three partner universities in an environment of scientific and industrial excellence.

The ESBS approach

Provides high-level education based on research, innovation and technology transfer.

Enables students to complete work placements in businesses and academic and private laboratories in Europe and around the world for a total duration of at least 10 months over the course of 3 years.  

Anticipates the future needs of biotechnology by introducing cutting-edge teaching, such as the technological aspects of high-throughput biological experimentation and biological engineering which open up fascinating possibilities in therapeutic examination, sustainable development, use of biomass, etc.

Guarantees successful professional integration both in academia and industry; language fluency and international work placements prepare graduates for the international market.
