Learning objectives (course content):
The module will give a comprehensive overview of synthetic biology and mammalian cell technology covering the following areas:
Handling, cultivating and propagating animal and human cell lines
DNA transfer using non-viral and viral vectors in the lab and in gene therapy
(Inducible) gene expression systems
Reporter genes and analytical (immunological) methods
Design and implémentation of synthetic biological networks
Scale-up: from bench to bioreactor
Antibodies: from bench to bedside
Problem-oriented learning : From Bench to Business
